A Visual Year is a compilation of Rochester Institute of Technology's Photojournalism student work from the year 2015. All content was gathered and edited by myself and six other senior photo editing students in order to create a trailer. Our take consisted of over 10,000 still images, stories, and video projects combined. The website was officially launched in June 2016.

My Role

Each photo editor was assigned to specific roles and collaborated together throughout the project. Each editor was assigned specific photographers to contact and collect material from. They then had to come up with an edit that would later be shown to the entire group during our weekly meetings for feedback and review. I created our style guide for A Visual Year, incorporating the ideas of all members so that the design was mutually agreed upon and assisted in editing the video for the trailer (as seen above). For the website I edited each headshot, making sure the images were consistent with one another. Each editor was also assigned to tone the images/stories given to them and completed by the deadline established along with ensuring each project was able to be published online.
